All you need to know on Energy use, Climate Change and GHGs, low carbon in 36 mins!!

Essential baseline understanding of the key factors for addressing the “low carbon” economy. This briefing considers how and where we use fossil fuel energy, where it comes from and how efficiently it is used and future availability. Global warming or Climate Change is simply explained along with the causes. For a sound overview of carbon footprinting and accounting, the greenhouse gases, their sources and relative impacts on global warming (GWP) that are associated with an organization’s activities are explained in a straightforward manner. The global carbon cycle is explained along with the size of the various carbon sinks, and carbon flows between them. Opportunities for natural carbon sequestration to mitigate Climate Change are shown.

The relationship between energy & fossil fuels and the functioning of the economy is explained, along with simple measures to significantly reduce our overall global environmental impacts. The two significant organisational activities that reduce GHGs and improve organisational competitiveness are specified.
